We all have experience the feelings of being broken, destroyed, hurt, tired, worthless and lost. Think of your body as a vehicle. We are all a shell of a vehicle (our body) and our gas tank represents our emotional, mental, physical and psychological virtues. We need all of our virtues to go through our life in a positive, efficient and an effective matter. When our tank is empty, it is time for us to fill up our tank or we become stagnated and left in one place and not going anywhere How do we fill up our tank of emotional, mental, physical and psychological virtues? How do we move through our life when we feel empty and broken down? These questions are feelings that go back in ancient times. If you feel alone, you are not alone! God has placed all those answers for us right in the Bible and through prayer! Refill your tank which means revamp your life through God's wondrous plans for your life which are positive changes right in front of you by looking forward rather than backwards! The Bible provides the necessary fuel to fill each of our tanks! Deaths, bills due, possessions gone, fired from work, abandoned by friends and all of disastrous events that are leaving you destroyed, reach for God! The Bible is the time to restart your life! We are stagnated and not willing to move is the time for prayer and God's desire to have a one on one with you in prayer! Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God"(KJV). In the stillness of our lives will allow us the time of prayer and meditation and not making decisions in haste. God leads us to the right places when we place our trust in Him! The disastrous events that placed us in a stagnated place are all temporary. Joy will return and brighten our day and our spirit! Psalm 34:17 "The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles"(KJV). I have many times in my life yell out or say in my mind, "Lord help me, hear my prayer!" Never in my life did He forsake me!! Maybe I wanted a different resolution however God solves our problems in ways that will benefit us! Death of a loved one or loved ones is the worst pain that can place us in the darkest place. Death is universal and so is pain and grieving is different for each of us. John 16:22 "So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you"(ESV). The loss of a loved one reminds us that our life is temporary and the gift we receive from the loss of a loved one is knowing that we will be reunited with our loved ones one day! We shall transfer the pain and tears of death into the joy of a reunion one day! This is why when we remember our loved one, we celebrate their life and know we will see them again! Friends abandon us or people ridicule us, divorce, break up: Psalm 18:2 “The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower"(KJV). The best and greatest friend in our life is Jesus!! Human beings are imperfect and incapable of being our best and greatest friend. We love everyone and we will have friends but perfection in friends is nonexistent! Possessions stolen or house destroyed/foreclosure/eviction, car repossessed, no food, no water, no money: Psalm 9:9 "The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble"(KJV). If all we have is our body and our Bible, we are on the right path of receiving the gifts that God has for us in place with first being our refuge in times of trouble! We will be blessed abundantly when we place our faith and trust in God!! Tired and can't go on, sick, depressed, tired: Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest"(ESV). God is right within reach and He will provide us the necessities to go on because God is not through with us yet! Don't give up for God will never give up on you!!! Blessings and love, Joan
